Mexican politician climbs border fence to show Trump's wall is 'absurd'

"Simple to climb the #Wall but there are many dangers to our people".

On the campaign trail, Trump repeatedly promised to build a wall and make Mexico foot the bill, causing tensions between the US and its southern neighbor. The takeaway: If a politician has no problem scrambling up a steep border fence, then perhaps a 1,900 mile wall will not better serve the goal of keeping people out. "Human rights, principles and dignity are not negotiable".

Since Guerra did not post photos or video of himself climbing the wall, some on Twitter questioned whether the climb is really as easy as Guerra claims, ABC News reports.

As he peers down at Pacific beaches on either side of the fence, Guerra harks back to what he views as a friendlier period of diplomacy.

Poite was naturally obliged to point out that he is a referee and not a coach. "I'm not happy with what happened today". However, the play never reset and Italian defenders were able to camp out behind English lines.

"Look @realDonaldTrump how absurd and unnecessary spending on this project is that it hurts and damages our good neighborhood", Guerra said, underscoring how US-Mexico relations have become strained due to the president's rhetoric.

"This is to be able to improve the relationship and stop the migrant flow, and return to friendly relations that produce jobs, that translate into good economic terms and development for both countries", Guerra said.

The U.S. government could present a formal request as early as Monday "for the design and build of several prototype wall structures". A winning bidder is due to be announced in mid-April.

Guerra's stunt comes amid rising tensions between Mexico and the United States.

The announcement comes as SpaceX struggles to get NASA astronauts off the ground on a relatively short trip to the space station. Musk said they expect to conduct fitness testing and begin initial training for those embarking on the mission later this year.

Trump himself estimated the cost for the entire project will be $8 to $12 billion, but congressional Republicans estimate the project in the $12 to $15 billion.

Trump initially said he wanted to wall off the entire border, but has since said that 1,000 miles may do.

While Guerra boasted in the video about how "easy" it supposedly was to scale the fence, some social media users expressed skepticism.

But the video was pulled from YouTube on Thursday morning for violating the site's guidelines, Patch told the National Post. The park says YouTube made a decision to take down the feed briefly after animal rights extremists complained about it.
