Muhammad Ali Jr. Detained By TSA For A Second Time
On Feb. 7, Ali Jr. was returning from a Black History Month event in Jamaica with his mother, Khalilah Camacho Ali, when they were both pulled aside and separated from each other while going through the immigration checkpoint on at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Mancini said at the time.
The incident occurred the day after Ali spoke out in Washington against Donald Trump's travel ban at a congressional forum on immigration organized by House Democrats.
According to his attorney, Chris Mancini, Ali Jr. had to present documents, including a license and passport, to prove his citizenship.
Mancini accused the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) of trying to cover up the incident by downplaying it.
