Headstones were toppled at a cemetery that serves the Jewish community in Brooklyn, New York. An NYPD spokesman said the department's hate crimes division was notified of the headstones found toppled over at Washington Cemetery. The exact number of overturned tombstones was not yet known.

Hikind said he has spoken with the New York Police Department on scene, but officials with the cemetery said that there was no vandalism, and that perhaps the damage was caused by wind or something else.
